Christopher Johnson is a music producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist known for his ability to blend various genres. As an artist, his original compositions often incorporate elements of compositional ambient, postminimalist classical and new age elements.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, into a creative family, with a father who was a New York City session musician and a mother who was a poet/painter, Christopher started playing multiple instruments at a young age. He briefly studied at the Berklee College of Music, and then proceeded to play hundreds of live performances throughout the United States.
Christopher initially gained notoriety for his keyboard playing and engineering work with The Masters of Reality, Ian Astbury, and Scott Weiland. He contributed to the 19 million-selling, multiple Grammy Award-winning album "Fallen" by the group Evanescence, which led to signing a recording contract with RCA Records and a music publishing contract with Hans Zimmer and Jay Rifkin's music company.
Johnson's music is often characterized by its emotional authenticity, ranging from emotional piano, ethereal synthesizers, and ambiences that evoke a wide range of emotions.
